Background
Econet is an independent conservation group whose aim is to conserve and promote awareness and enjoyment of the natural environment in public open spaces and other sites throughout the Reading area.

All members of Econet are volunteers.

Policy
In order to protect children and other vulnerable members of the community, those under the age of 16 years and vulnerable adults are only allowed to participate in Econet activities if accompanied by an appropriate adult (parent, guardian, social worker, teacher, etc.) responsible for their wellbeing and behaviour.

Providing this condition can be met, Econet welcomes all members of the community to participate in its activities in accordance with its Equal Opportunities statement.

Review
Econet will regularly review this policy and make whatever changes may be deemed necessary at that time.
