Pack up my entire stuff, said goodbye to Ralf and check out of the hotel. The cool of the morning was lovely. Rode the bike to Easydive, as I didn't feel like walking with a heavy rucksack on my back and I needed to move the bike away from the hut anyway. Rode passed a Hen with its brewed of chicks. I parked the bike next to Easydive. It was more like abandoned it near some other bikes. Well, when in Rome…

On the boat I am buddied up with another German called Clouse. I`m not scared of the water at all now and can just jump straight in. On the first dive the water was very cloudy and I could only see four or five meters but on the second one the viability even worse, only one to two meters and sometimes I couldn't even see Clouses head, only his flippers.
After the dives I met up with Bjorn, in the little restaurant that he had shown me a couple of days before. He took me to the place were he had found a room for 250B a night. The hut I was shown was Semi-detached and was right on the beach. Took it straight away, yes! Now at least I have a place to sleep tonight. Don't fancy lying on the beach all night, as you would get eaten to death by mozzies.

Decided to find the lookout point and caves marked on the map and headed north on my bike. Couldn't find the lookout point and when I was searching for the cave ended up walking through a Thais garden. He invited me in and I had to take off my shoes, as is the custom. There was also an Englishman smoking a bong, in the house. Both started off being friendly enough, to start out with. They asked me what I was doing there and if I wanted a drag on the bong. Told him no, and said I was looking for the cave and the Thai said that he owned it and started to show me pictures of a 1Kg diamond! It was obviously fake! He said that he would take me to see it for 500B. Told him I was not interested, not for that price anyway and he got mad. Shouting at me to get out of his house. I started to put on my shoes but he really started to get upset because I was taking too long to get out. The Englishman tried to calm him down and I don't know what I would have done if it hadn't been for him. The Thai said that people like me make him sick and what was I doing walking on this garden and how I had damaged his plants and how he should call the police. The English bloke kept smiling at us both and saying the odd word in Thai. I was glad to get away from this nutter. I hurry down to the dirt road and head back to the bike. It passes by the Thais house and he shouts abuse at me from his veranda. The last I hear from him is he saying about setting his dog on me. What dog? I never saw or heard a dog.

Across from where I had left my bike, I did find another viewpoint. Near it was a path down to a lovely sandy beach. Swam in the warm shallow water. But I did feel the sun starting to burn me, so I covered up as best as I could. And as I see that the sun is getting low, I head for the Banana Bar. Boy, that hill is a killer, but it`s worth it.

View from the Banana Bar
I get a drink and start to really relaxed…
The sun sinks below the horizon.
The lights of the huts come on.
The colour drains out of the sky.
Stars come out one at a time.
Sound of the insects gets louder and louder.
Shear bliss.

People around me are smoking pot drinking, reading, listening to the music, quietly talking and generally enjoying life.

The fairy lights on the railings flicker with the generator, great times!

Went to Tukta for dinner I have the best Red Curry every! Met up with Bart and Pyan, two Dutch blokes who were also divers. Well who isn't on this island? We have some beers together and get into a debate about world terrorism. In the end I left them to it and went back to the hut and went to sleep. The mozzy net was great and didn't get a single bite all night!
