The Friends of Mapledurham Playing Fields undertake regular tasks on the 3rd Saturday of each month throughout the autumn and winter from September until March or April. See Programme for details of next planned task.

Mapledurham Playing Fields are located in Caversham Heights, just off Upper Woodcote Road (A4074)

The Group was formed in 1999, and working with Reading Bogough Council and Econet, undertakes a variety of activities to maintain and enhance the site.

Since April 2001, they have completed quarterly Small Mammal Surveys ... The trap is set. Success, the captive (a mouse) is extricated and taken to be ... interrogated (sexed) ... and weighed ... before being released back into the wild.
