Clayfield Copse, Caversham ~ Regular monthly task

Clearing the American White Mountain Pine which sadly had fallen blocking the Ride. The tree was supposedly planted by Thomas Jefferson during his visit to Caversham Park Gardens during his tour of 'English Country Seats' with John Adams in April 1786. John Adams diary includes the following entry, "The Gentlemens Seats were the highest Entertainment, We met with. Stowe, Hagley and Blenheim, are superb. Woburn, Caversham and the Leasowes are beautifull.".
