Kennet & Avon Canal, Greenham Lock, Newbury ~ Towpath clearance

In recent weeks The Conservation Volunteers had been working for the Canal and River Trust clearing overhanging vegetation from the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath near Aldermaston and Kintbury and asked whether Newbury & Thatcham Green Gym would like to help with this work. It was thus that volunteers from Green Gym found themselves on a rather damp morning at Greenham Lock armed with shears and loppers.
