Watermill Court, Woolhampton ~ Pond maintenance

The manager of this retirement complex on the edge of Woolhampton had original approached BBOWT, the wildlife trust, regarding the maintenance of their pond which was becoming overshadowed by the surrounding willows.

The enquiry was passed to Econet and it was thus that we found ourselves felling trees which where indeed overgrowing the pond.

Preventing the felled trees falling into the water from where they could not be retrieved was a major consideration.

On a day of showers the Court's archway provided shelter.

By the end of the task the pond was more open and the residents to whom we spoke were happy with our work. Let us hope the local wildlife is of the same opinion.
