Sheepdrove Organic Farm, Lambourn ~ Removal of fence

For our (almost) annual visit to Sheepdrove we were again joined by The Conservation Volunteers.

The task of removing fencing which had been constructed of posts and plastic netting in what is known as Nut Wood, was simple enough except that it had become entangled in the nettles, brambles and branches.

Coffee time .....

..... with biscuits and cake.

Then more fence removal .....

..... before heading back to the Farm's Eco Conference Centre .....

..... where in the company of the ladies of the WI who were also visiting the farm, a delicious lunch kindly provided by the Farm awaited us.

After lunch there's just time for a quick look around .....

..... before we return to the task.

End of task and as we prepare to depart there's a chance to take stock of at least some of the material we have removed.

Hand reared lambs.

Our thanks to Sheepdrove Farm for an enjoyable and at times challenging task and an excellent lunch. We hope to be back next year.
